Deuce is ten weeks and gets up every 2hrs to pee. He has few nights were he goes 4 or 5. I pick up water same time every night but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
I read about people saying there pups sleep through the night. Am I just to light a sleeper that I run him out to potty every time I hear him cry. Or should he be sleeping longer. At what age can I expect him to sleep through the night?

I think they're all a little different. Sometimes Abbey makes it through the night 7-8 hrs. Other times 5-6 hrs. Once she's up though, she can't make it much past an hour and sometimes, not even that.

It all depends on the puppy--at 10 weeks, every 2-3 hours isn't uncommon. I know that when Gracie slept in bed with me as opposed to her crate, she slept more soundly and longer, the more comfortable and secure they feel, the deeper they tend to sleep, and she would not wake up needing to pee as often. Our bodies, as well as dogs and other animals, sort of "slows down" the need to pee when we are sleeping....

We have been sooo lucky with Zeus.... the first 3 nights he was up every 2-3 hours, but then on the 4th night he slept 9 hours!!! Since then he has only been up once at night at the most, and if he has played extra hard during the day he usually sleeps through the night. Which is good since we have about a foot of snow on the ground so neither Zeus or I want to go out in the middle of the night!! The last 2 nights my DH and I have kept him in our bed, and he sleeps much better. I hope your Deuce sleeps a bit longer for you, I know I can't get up several times int he middle of the night w/o feeling like I am going insane!!!

Chloe is 12 weeks old, and we have had her for 3 weeks now. For the first two weeks she was up at least 3 times a night for her 5 hour night sleeps. We have neighbors very close by so the barking and whimpering didn't work. After two weeks, and a lot of exercise and planning, she now sleeps 9 hours straight each night without getting up. I think every dog is different, all I can say is tough it out and it will get better. Also, I might add, it made a huge difference that Chloe's cage is now placed right next to the bed so she can see and hear us sleeping. Maybe you should give that a try. Good luck and I hope it gets better.

our little Baxter is 9 weeks (almost) and we have him sleeping on our bed. If he needs to get up and go outside he wakes us by chewing on our ears or pulling our hair.......so we take him out, he goes and then its back to bed. We are very lucky to have such a smart little guy. He probably needs to go 3 times at night.
