Sleeping in the Bed

4 in the bed!

I have 6 Boxers and 4 sleep in the bed with me as well as my 2 cats. 2 of them are in the kennel because they never were housebroken. The 4 in the bed completely surround me so that I can barely move a muscle! One sleeps on the other pillow with her head on my shoulder, 2 down one side and one across my feet - it's like being in traction...
one of the cats sleeps in Leila's flank - he thinks Leila is his Mom. The other cat comes and goes so that everybody has to constantly regroup! My handler will kill me if she reads this because she says it makes her job much more difficult at shows when the dogs are unhappy about being crated - OOPS!

In the bed.

I started out with the mindset that no dogs allowed on furniture...period!! But by the third night of the first week of having Mabel...she was in the bed, and allowed on the furniture. At first, I was trying to justify it by saying 16 hours in a crate is just too long, or it's an old couch what does it matter. But now I just say that's how I want it. In fact, I take it quite personally if she doesn't get in bed with me or lays on the floor instead of the couch.:rolleyes:

Yes, me and Stacy sleep in Buddy's bed:p But he only gives us the edges, or we can sometimes share one half, while he has the other half!

Ally sleeps on her bed, butted up against my side of the bed so I can drape an arm down and pet her/get my hand licked in the middle of the night.
