I was reading the thread where everyone is telling about their Boxers and how many sleep in bed with their family. We have a queen size bed and our mini schnauzer/yorkie sleeps under the covers. She is almost too much at times and only weighs 7 lbs!! If you let your dog sleep in your bed, are you married or have a significant other and how big is your bed?? Do you allow them under the covers or set some rules (yeah right!). I just can't imagine allowing Gretchen to sleep with us when she gets older. As it is she gets to spend at least an hour on the bed before bedtime if she has been good and takes up half the bed when she stretches out! She also likes to kick her feet and really get going when she has puppy dreams!

I am married and we have a queen bed. Frog slept with us every night. It was a tight squeeze but she didn't like being under the blankets so it helped out a bit. I actually can't sleep now that she is not there to wiggle between us and make it impossible to cover up since she is laying on top of them.

I've been letting my puppy sleep in the bed with me but she is still only 8 weeks. My last dog was a Boxer mix around 60 pounds and she shared the bed with me as well. It's only a twin and she took up most of it. I'm extremely petite but dont mind waking up with a dog sprawled out across my legs/torso.

I have a king size bed and am married. Peanut sleeps with us at least part of the night every night depends on what he feels like No rules about sleeping with us and he doesn't like to get under the covers.

Duke sleeps between my husband and I on a queen size bed! Some nights whoever gets to bed first gets the best spot! he has never slept under the covers but lately I guess the AC is blowing on him so he tries to come under.

I have a king size bed and Joe (72 lbs) and Kacey (20.6 lbs - and growing way to fast) both sleep with us (I'm married). I will before I turn of the TV at night, get up and put Kacey in her crate for the night, but that is normally around 12-2 a.m. I am currently not working, so I have no set bed time right now...

I love my babies sleeping with me - I would not change it if I could. :)

I'm married, retired, and we have a king sized bed. I usually go in on the bed in the afternoon, to rest, and both dogs come in with me, for a nap. At night, they both are usually on the bed, but not under the covers. They end up in the livingroom on the couch, curled up together, which is fine with us, it's a pretty crowded bed, because Snoop weighs 70 lbs. and Dottie weighs 55 lbs. (not going to tell you what WE weigh! );)

Layla our 55lb boxer sleeps completely underneath the covers between me and my husband in our queen size bed. Now that she's getting bigger though she will look at us and sigh because she thinks we're taking up all her room and she'll sleep on the floor for a while. She always ends back in bed though and now i cant sleep unless the bed is full w/ her and my husband.

I'm married and have a queen size bed that me, hubby and Layla all share. I love having my cuddle bug in bed with us. Sometimes she will sleep in a chair that we have in our room next to the bed if she gets too hot. But I love having her with us in bed, even though she takes up way too much room and scratches us with her rough pads while stretching in the middle of the night!

I have a california king ( six inches longer but six inches less wide) that my 6 foot 6 boyfriend, Zeus (65pound rottie) and Mia (52 pound boxer) all sleep in EVERY night. There has not been one night since they were 10 weeks old that they did not sleep with us. Zeus sleep ontop of the cover on my legs. Mia sleeps in between her mommy and daddy. She get under the covers when the AC is on high. I agree I wake up with back pains and wonder why? I love them in bed with me, I feel so protected and warm
