Skye's a Labrador!!!

[Super Boo]

We took the dogs to a park nearby yesterday. It has 2 manmade lakes (big ponds). Boo has been there before, but this was new for Skye. Anyway, there were a bunch of ducks swimming around, so Skye decided to wade in. That was fine until he hit the dropoff. My husband was about to go in after him, but he calmly started swimming and swam around like a little motorboat until we called him and he swam back to us. I think the ducks were so shocked that they actually started swimming towards him. I was so shocked that I almost wet my pants

Boo is smart enough to know that she can't swim (big body-little feet) but I guess Skye can swim (little body-big feet). When he climbed out, Boo went nuts and jumped all over him. Unfortunately he needed a bath afterwards since he smelled like duck poopy :eek: .

Who knew that a Boxer could swim??

I am anxious to see if TUG will be a swimmer. My last two sure were not. They did good just splashing in the shallow water and barking.

Asia loves to swim! My grandpa has a pond on his farm and we visited not too long ago. When we were there, we were all standing around the pond and one of my cousins threw in a stick for his dog and Asia ended up going after it. She just jumped in and started swimming for it, then stuck her head down in the water to reach for the stick and when she couldn't find it, she would swim back. She actually swam for quite a while. This wasn't the first time, though. And don't you just love the smell when they get out of that nasty water?!!

She hates baths but loves lakes, the ocean, ponds, etc ...

Our Sidda can't swim very well at all, but I am excited to see if Henry can swim this year. He has a slimmer build and big feet, maybe he will be better at it!

I can just see your baby, happy as can be, smelling like duck poo! so funny!
