Baron has had a rash on his underside and around his neck for the last few weeks. He has been to his veterinarian several times this month which has resulted in antibiotics and prednisone for a bacteria infection.
When he was weaned off of the prednisone the rash came back, so we gave him cortisone shot and different antibiotics.
We also had him tested for mange that came back negative and we have also tested him for ringworm. The ringworm test is still negative; however tomorrow we should know for sure since it has been 10 days.
Our vet does not think it is ringworm, so we have Baron on Hill Z/D incase he actually has a food allergies.

Any help would be appreciated.

Poor Baron. It is not any kind of grass or whatnot that he lies in , rubs against? My boy will get a rash if he is in tall grasses and he likes to "rub" against them and he will get the rash on his chest. Just a thought. Also, no new shampoo for him, laundry detergent that you wash his bed in or anything? The only other thing is a new and different treat? Could be a food allergy which is just a process of elimination. Best of luck to you-allergies can be so hard to diagnose :(

ELubas-

I have went over everything in your list and still nothing new comes to mind - Baron is a house dog and so I don't think grass is an issue, no new bath supplies, and no new detergent.

Baron is the fourth boxer that we have raised and I have never seen anything like this. All I know is that whatever it is - it is not contagious, because our Brennan - number 3 alpha female boxer is fine.

I am think that it very well could be a food allergy for our redhead.

Thanks for you input.

Have you recently gotten new carpets, or flooring of any kind? Or have you changed what you clean the floors with? Since its his underside, I'd think it was something he was lying on.

Ok, here's something out of left field...is he an in the bed with you dog? If he is, have you put a new set of sheets on the bed..or a new comforter or blanket? Or even a new blanket, sheet, bedding for him?

The ringworm test was negative and we are looking at allergies at this point; however any information would be appreciated.
