Skin color change

I have a fawn boxer that is a little over 13 months old. Just recently, my boxer Yoshi's skin has darkened. It seems that anywhere that there isn't much hair on his body (like belly or inner legs) is getting slightly darker. His skin almost looks like it is dirty. Is this something that is normal? or do I need to get him medical attention immediately? Everything about him seems the same. He is eating the same. He is still full of energy. His hair isn't falling off. I've tried searching for this and couldn't find much help. I wish I could explain better, but hopefully you guys will know what I'm talking about.

Thanks so much,
Danny

Izzy is also fawn, a darker fawn, and her skin where there is not hair, also turned darker when she was around 2 years old. I just thought that is what happens and nothing to worry about medically. Parts of her belly, inner back legs and under her front legs (like her armpits) have gotten darker.
I have been curious too, so would be interested in what others say as well.

When my boy's inner hind thighs and a portion of his stomach turned a darker skin color he was hypothyroid. Not saying that's what it is (13 months is pretty young for that), but that was my experience anyway.

Butler is brindle, but his skin did the same way. Most likely it's not a problem, but if you see other changes it wouldn't hurt to have thyroid testing as the darker skin can also be a sign of thyroid issues.

My Sable is fawn and she did the same thing at around 3 and the vet said it is nothing to worry about. Just skin pigmation changes like we all have.

This also happened to Maggie some time ago. She has recently undergone a number of tests and does not have any thyroid problems. But if you notice any other changes I would visit the vet.

I went to the vet over the weekend for my other dog and just asked them about it and they said it is normal for the skin color to change and it isn't anything to worry about. Thats a relief :)
