So I took Arabella with me to run errands and get what we needed for our upcoming road trip. We went into our local natural pet supply store. They had a dog mannequin wearing a winter coat. We had been in the store for awhile before Arabella noticed it. She turned and came to complete attention when she spotted it. She slowly approached it an gave it a sniff. I think it was only then that she realized it wasn't real. Everyone in the store was watching her and laughing. I was just relived she wasn't barking at it like she did the fake bears a few years ago. :D

That's so funny!

I swear boxers are better at two dimensional recognition than other breeds.

Something similar happened to me and Kisaq a couple of months ago. We had fairly recently lost my last cat (he was 17 or 18 RIP Puqu). Anyway - Kisaq had fallen in love with that that cat and he misses him. Now, every time we go to our vet - since they have several office cats there - he gets so excited just to see the cats!

So, that day, we had gone in there just for treats and to weigh him and be social. And as I led him over to the scales he froze with his head up and then got all wiggly and started talking ...

Well, Kisaq the receptionists and I took a second to realize what he was on about. And we both busted out laughing at the same time. There was this cardboard cut out of a full size cat (some advertisement thing) looking down from the shelf.

Kisaq literally had to go put his nose up and "bump" the thing to realize it wasn't real. Poor guy. He was so disappointed.

Arabella you are a silly girl!

I remember when had Markus. I went to my brother's at Christmas time and they had this stuffed Reindeer in the house. It was maybe 2ft. tall at the most. As soon as he saw it he just froze and then let out this really deep bark. It was just hilarious. It was the only time that I recall him acting like that. He just didn't know what to make of it.

Right now, since it's Christmas time we have a big green grinch in the living room. Honna approaches very carefully and then backs off. The Grinch really concerns her.. So funny to watch.

Boxers are so funny. Sometimes I wonder just how well can they actually see.
On our summer walks Lily gets all ruffled at one of our neighbors' tipped 1/2 barrel with flowers spilling out of it.
I'm like, Lily that's just flowers!
