I'm going to take Molly in to the vet first thing tomorrow morning. Probably should have done it today, but since she had stopped throwing up, I thought she was getting better. She still has not eaten a thing. I have a little baby vitamin dropper, and I got her to take about 10 ccs of water. And thats it. She laid around all day long and barely moved. Her gums have remained pink and still no jaundice.

I'm thinking that she has either eaten something poisonous and it is just working its way through her system ever so slowly. Or maybe she has a piece of rawhide in her stomach that is just hanging out? We've been poking on her stomach all day (poor baby!) and that doesn't seem to hurt.

So... ???? I have no idea. I'm so worried about her though!!!

We went to the vet at 8 this morning. They started with a giardia (sp?) test, because that has been really prevelant around here. That came back negative. But since she didn't have a fever and didn't appear to be in any pain, the vet didn't think it was an obstruction (Thank God). Molly was dehydrated, so they gave her fluids and she had a huge camel hump on her back for a while that looked really strange. Vet sent us home with antibiotics and special Perscription Diet I/D canned food for her to eat. Anyone know anything about the I/D? Molly seems to be feeling much better after receiving the fluids. She even ate an entire can of the I/D! That makes me happy because she had lost 3 pounds!

The vet said that if she wasn't remarkably better in 24 hours, to bring her back and they'd start in on the expensive testing... xrays, barium swallow etc etc. I really appreciated that the vet tried to make it a "cost effective" visit.

Molly is up walking around and acting normal. The antibiotics are for whatever irritation or inflamation is going on in her stomach.

The vet said to feed her one of those cans now and then one tonight. Molly acts like she's starving though. She's already had one can.... Should I give her another?

Thanks for all your sweet notes!

So glad Molly is better. I would ask the vet before I gave her more food than he prescribed. As she seems better I would not risk it. If he says it is fine then I would be more comfortable. Hope she continues to improve. Sorry, I know nothing about that food but it sounds like what she needs right now. Keep us posted

Glad to hear Molly is on the mend, I'd ask the vet too if you should feed her more, just to be safe.
Hoping she is 100 percent very soon, Reilly sends hugs and big kisses to Molly.
