Should I play tug of war with my boxer?

When Loki was a puppy I played tug with him a lot. He grew out of it around two or so, though. He just kind of lost interest in the game, along with mostly losing his prey drive (unless I get out the laser pointer). I've never had any dominance issues with Loki, either. Then again, he's always been a pretty chill dog.

Now I play it all the time with Sandor, my German Shepherd, who is still a puppy at a year and a half and absolutely loves to tug.

We play tug of war with Toby all the time, it's one of his favorite games. Never had any problems with it. If the game gets a little to rough, I don't tell him to drop, I just walk away, . He'll just stand there, like what the heck is this! Then go find something else to occupy himself with

We play tug of war, but usually one dog gets jealous of the other dog and they just play together. It's funny to watch my little schnauzer hold her one and break free with the rope and then play keep away!!

We also play tug, but use the done command to end the game if it gets too out of control, which is very seldom. Lucy is all about tug.
