I let Buster out of his crate at night time when he was young - probably 2.5 months old and started letting him sleep in my bed with me. He usually drifts off for the night around 10:30 and he's where ever I am. I let him outside to pee then we're off to bed whenever I go to bed. I usually leave my door open now too and he doesn't get off the bed whatsoever.

Rocky is the same way and he suckered me into letting him sleep in the bed from the night I brought him home! I tried putting him in the crate several times on several nights but the crying just broke my heart. He never once had an accident on the bed. Rocky's also never been an early riser though when he was little I'd carry him out every few hours until I was comfortable he wouldn't have an accident. It didn't take long and he was sleeping through the night. Now when I get up to take a shower he just moves to my spot in the bed and crashes till I get my shower and get dressed. Then he follows me out of the bedroom with a lot of stretching and yawning as we head out to let him do his thing.

Hi From NZ

^^^ Lucky you! I was up at 5.10am today...:( If he was in my room I'd probably get another half hour out of him, but to be honest, if I get to sleep in it just seems to really put me behind for the day! We were out walking at 6.30am and it was lovely and still and peaceful - by the time we turn around to come back about 20mins later, the same route is busier with cars and people and it kinda busts up the lovely zen moment you had for the first half of the walk!

Beth, I performed a bean-ectomy on the bean bag so it would fit into his crate! ;) I could just about make another bean bag with what I removed from it and I might just have to, so I have one to wash and one spare. Which reminds me - any tips on how to wash a bean bag please???
