Saturday night. Nice quiet evening. Just watching TV. Alone. And all of a sudden there is a horrendous crash. Nala comes tearing through the living room like her nub is on fire! I jump up and run to where Nala came from - the front bedroom. Sure enough, she broke the window. 2 panes of glass. But not just the glass, she broke the metal frame that separates the 2 panes of glass! Good grief! She had a small cut on the pad of her paw but it was a clean cut and no glass in it. She gave me the adorable "mommy I'm soooooo sorry" eyes for the rest of the night. I'm sure it's gonna hurt my pocketbook though since I can't just replace the glass, I have to replace the whole bottom half of the window.

And I still don't know what was so interesting outside that she thought she had to break the window to get to it.

Gotta love 'em. :)

OMG how scary!!
That "sorry" face is so cute and sweet! When Ping was about 13 months old he was out on the balcony with hubby and Ping's friend , a lab named Boomer was downstairs playing so Ping just springboarded himself up over the balcony and down to the grass to play with Boomer.. we live on the second floor!! Hubby freaked out and ran downstairs and Ping just looked at him like "oops! sorry!! I bet I wasn't supposed to do that!" Hubby called me at work and I left early to check on him!! But he was fine...We couldn't believe he didnt hurt himself! He kept giving us that sorry look.. was so sweet. :D

Beautiful Nala...

Oh my goodness, K! I am glad that Nala did not sustain a more serious injury! Make sure to give her lots of kisses from me & Cassius! He'd love to see her again... :)

That's so scary! My lab broke a window last winter and injured herself pretty badly. It never occurred to me before that windows could be so dangerous for dogs. Glad your baby is OK!

I am so glad to hear that Nala was not seriously hurt...a huge vet bill on top of replacing the bottom half would not have been great. Not to mention the worries...Give your silly Nala some kisses on her paw for me!

Poor Nala! I am sure she also scared a few years off of you as well!

Since she seems to be "unaware" that you can't go through the window you may want to place a few suncatcher window clings in the lower windows so that she can see that there is a barrier there. It may not help, but it sure won't hurt!

Give that poor paw a smooch for Cookie and I!
