hello, my name is Bob and I have not written for awhile
we have Maxine , I had posted some questions in the past about ear cropping, hers turned out great !.
Anyhow she is a little over 9 months old, we got her in Sept.of 2000, we live in Fresno, Ca. and it gets really hot
here I never noticed that she lost much hair in the past but
lately she seems to be sheddin a bunch.
On Monday she goes in to be spayed and was wondering if there is anthing I should ask the Vet. to check ? or perhaps
something I could feed her to help? her coat seems fine , very smooth and shiney?.....any ideas, thanks Bob

It's probably seasonal, this is the time of year when my gang does the most shedding, too. As long as she doesn't have patches of thin or no hair, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Our white boxer (5 years old) sheds alot, all the time. It's everywhere.

Our fawn boxer just had her first birthday, and seems to be shedding her puppy hair. She's shedding the really fine hair and a little more coarse hair seems to be on her now. Her coat is very shiny and a beautiful color. What's really strange though is she has a lot of white circling her neck, and that sheds constantly.

I keep them brushed alot even though their hair is short, and it does help. I use a rubber like curry brush.

Annabelle also sheds a lot. Her coat is still thick and beautiful. There is hair all over the furniture and car seats. Does anyone know if Advantage has anything to do with shedding?

Eddie sheds like crazy!! Its everywhere, the furniture, the floor, the closets, it even gets in my dresser drawers. I have heard that sunflower oil helps so I am starting next week......wish me luck!

My boy also sheds like crazy. I have been trying some tablets, all natural, that I got from Drs. Foster Smith online. They are called Gold Tabs and are basically vegetable oil, sunflower oil etc. I have been using them about a month, the time they suggest you wait to see a change. I haven't noticed much change in his shedding or in his dandruff really but his coat color and softness has improved quite a bit. In fact, he is brindle and I actually have noticed his different colors getting more distinct. He seems to be tolerating it alright, his business is pretty much normal. I also have heard that fish oil and flaxseed oil is the very best for the shedding and coat. Omega 3 fatty acids is what you want I think. You can get them at any whole foods store or natural foods store. Good luck....also the lint brushes in bulk from Costco don't hurt either! ha!
