Hello everyone,

My 2 year old boxer Shaq has been very sick since yesterday. He has diarrhea (constantly trying to poop) and now blood is coming out too when he poops. He also threw up today at night! He is drinking a lot of water. Any ideas? WE have not changed his food. We only gave me some liver treats he loves but we've had them for a while so I don't know if the treats are old or what.

Could it be any worms? Please help. I'm planning to take him to the vet tomorrow morning.

I would take him to the vet as planed. my gracie has loose bloody stools from colitis, but she has had this problem since she was a pup so I do not think that is your problem. good luck and let us know what the vet say's you never know it could help me.

I would DEFINITELY take him to the vet. I don't know what the cause could be, many things, but I would get him checked out ASAP. Let us know how he's doing.

Sounds like he could have an obstruction since he is now throwing up. Please take the advice of everyone else and get that baby to a vet ASAP

Going to the vet - always a safe bet.

My Champ has had loose bloody stool since I acquired him at almost 13 weeks. He's just about 15 weeks now. The Vet put him on some pills (I believe for colitus?) and gave some other as-needed pills to help with the loose stools. He's doing better after several days.

However he hasn't thrown up, which as pointed out already sounds like a different and possibly more serious problem. Hopefully he is doing better?

Please provide an update!

Thanks

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the replies. Shaq is doing a lot better now! I have been so busy lately that now is when I can visit the website and reply. I'm loading some new pics of him if you want to see him.

Bye.
