I think Roxie breaks out in hives due to a medicated shampoo I have been using. I was thinking of switching to a hypoallergenic shampoo. Does anyone know of any good ones?

My Sierra has broken out from shampoo's also.. I called and asked the vet what else i can wash her in and ofcourse said he had stuff at the office but if i didnt want to travel to him then he would suggest anything with an oatmeal base.. So i went and got an oatmeal base shampoo and it seems to be working great.. Hope this helps...

I like Oxymed by Tropiclean. There is both a shampoo and a skin treatment. I bathe Pearl about every two weeks and it is very gentle. Just make sure to rinse, rinse, rinse. :) Rinsing for a long time, about five minutes, will help to rehydrate the skin and using a cooler temperature will decrease skin irritation by shrinking the capillaries.

Although I dont yet have a boxer I have always washed our Cocker Spaniel in Johnsons Baby shampoo. It's very mild and although mean for humans never had any skin issues with our Cocker and it leaves her smelling nice and clean. Whats other peoples views on using something like this?

I would avoid using human shampoo on dog. It tends to be the wrong PH for dogs and can dry out thier skin too much. :)
