SEVERE separation anxiety!!! Long but I need your help please

We opted to let Lily roam loose because if we confined her at all, she went crazy. We also went to Petsmart and purchased the Petsitter DVD and she seems to really like us leaving that on. She's always relaxed when we get home the days we leave that playing. It plays different animal clips and noises and repeats itself when the DVD is done. You might try that.

We had a boxer that would destroy her crate and house when she got out. Sounds like you got a lot of good advice. Sometimes giving them benadryl helps them sleep when your gone, or putting them in a room with window to look out of helps.

I don't know about the window some dogs have been known to break the window and cut themselfs. what seems to happen with SA is they are desparate to get out. it ends up being a fear thing. when I had told my vet about it it was because I felt she could harm herself that she was given the meds. if I did not say that then he would not have given it to her. he told me when he asked what the problem is and if you say as I said then it is SA and just not wanting the dog drugged.
