SENSE-ation Harness Question

I saw that someone posted how this is good for pullers. On this site they don't give you much info on how it works. Does anyone have any info? I'm willing to try anything. My 6 month old pulls so hard she chokes herself and drags me down the street.

This thing works wonders!! I got one for Otis since he is a puller when out in public and it works great! He can still pull if he really wants to, say if a dog is nearby! haha But, you have control over it. He can't pull you down on the ground or pull your arm off. He doesn't try to pull because it is uncomfortable. It fits them right under their armpits and when they pull it makes it very uncomfortable. It has to be fitted properly and you need to use a short lead, otherwise it won't work properly. Fortunately, I have a store here in Reno that sells them, so they were able to fit it for me. But, I understand that SENSE-ation won't sell to retail stores, so you either have to find a representative in your area (usually a trainer) that does sell them or order it directly from their website. My friend in VA just ordered one for her boxer, and I sent her pictures of Otis wearing his so she could get an idea as to how to put it on.

The theory is that since the leash hooks on the harness in the middle of the chest in the front, it gives you more control. When the dog tries to pull, the placement of the leash actually causes him/her to turn around towards you. The dog will make the connection that pulling harder will only get them turned around faster. The pulling should stop quickly as turning around is not what the dog was trying for at all.
When we bought this harness for Nora, it came with a pamphlet showing how to adjust it properly, and when and how to use it.

I ordered a SENSE-ation harness for Tae in June. What a difference it has made! Prior to using it, there were times when Tae pulled so badly on her walk that I turned around and went home. With this harness, she is so walkable. I never have to abandon out walk. The only bad thing is the harness clasp jammed several times and the last time I was unable to get it open, so I put it on Tae without opening the clasp at all. I could send it back for repair, but I'm not sure how I'd walk her!
