Poor guy! He's been there for at least a month! I thought a rescue would have sniffed him out by now. I saw him last month, and I just happened to bring up the website today to find that he's still there. It says he's only been there since 10/4, but I know he's been there longer. I wish I could adopt him, but I can't afford it. I hope a rescue sees this and gets him out of there.

I think he's on the first page at the North Side shelter.

Was just talking to DH about him. DH says if we had a larger area for both he and Roxy to stay in while we are at work he'd consider it. But since the expansion on our house is not in the picture in the near future, its a no go. But Rocky is a handsome boy.....he deserves a good home.

just an update

I emailed several boxer rescues in and around the surrounding area. I hope someone adopts him. My heart breaks everytime I see his picture.

Just wanted to say something about adopting senior boxers. Our Odin is probably around the same age as this dog and he is the sweetest dog you would ever meet. He's just the biggest baby and I am sooo glad we brought him home last Feb. from a shelter. I was a little nervous because of his age and background but now I know no matter how long I have with him it is worth it. He was a cruelty case and it's a great feeling to be able to give him everything he deserves in his last years!

Now he's back up on the website. What is going on?!?!

I only had one rescue respond to the email I sent out last week, and she said that they are currently short of Foster parents.
