Terribly sorry you have no answers. Please don't beat yourself up. I did the same thing when my dog Boss died. I told everyone that I should have been there and maybe it wouldn't have happened, but it turns out he was sick for a while and wasn't showing signs. I know now he just held on until I was gone and he died the way he wanted to...I think he thought it was better for ME to NOT be there with him.

I would make clear to that vet that you will never return there, and that you will be sure to tell everyone you know not to take their business there either. I would like to slap that clerk for you, asking you to pay your bill at a time like that. Thinking of you and your family

Again, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you find the answers you are looking for. Was it the same vet's office that kenneled him that did the autopsy? I would wonder about the validity of their "results" if it was the same vet clinic. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Bosco & Jake sends you big hugs and slobbery kisses.

I too am so very sorry for your loss and hope that the specialist may be able to shed some light on this for you. I always think that when young ones are taken, they are taken to serve a higher purpose. God must have had a job that only Sega could handle. (((HUGS))) to you and your family. Kathleen, I live in Titusville, we have used the Afflliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, have you ever? They are like the Mayo clinic for animals, a specialist for everything. It just sounds very strange. I would think the vet would have more of an answer for you than that. Do ask for the complete report. So sorry for your lost and if you ever have a real need you can always call the vet school in Gainesville, I talked to one of the vets at the Big Dog show last week from there and he said you do not need your vet to call for an appointment, you can do it yourself. 352-392-4700 ext 4700, they may be able to help you.
