Hello all,

I had a boxer about a year ago and absolutely loved her. Sadly, I had to take a traveling job and got a divorce at the same time, and couldn't keep her. Luckily, there was a boxer family at church that adopted her from me and she is still there happy and safe,

Live goes on, I am single but now have a very secure local job, so when I found a boxer who had been rescued and needed a forever home, I jumped at the chance and got her. Her name is Bunny (gotta change that) and she is 3. She has already had two litters at this young age and 1/2 of her last litter died due to neglect. She regularly roamed the street and has some facial scars to show for her street days. But she will never have to roam the streets again!

This girl slept soundly for an entire 4 hour trip home. She sleeps beside me on the couch and in bed. Just a wonderful sweet girl. I'm not sure how anybody could treat a dog this way, much less a dog as sweet as she.

I will post pics of her as soon as I am allowed.

Good to be here,
Craig

Well, my girl is settling in nicely to an extent. Very laid back, sleeps in bed, and crates well when I leave. No accidents yet. One problem I have though is she won't eat. I talked to the owner who advised me his wife had given her two chicken sandwiches before they met me (man, can't believe that) and that he gave her a hamburger from Mcdonalds the last trip he took her own. Why do people do that? Anyway, she seems ok, I feel it is just an emotional thing.

Congrats

I love that Bunny name. My Crystal would hop like a bunny outside when she wanted to play.
Crystal always wanted a little something extra on her food. A few crumbs of whatever her family was eatting. Sometimes just a little chicken broth works wonders for dogs and humans alike.

Make sure you get a good quality kibble, or consider homecooking or raw feeding. The smell and taste of good kibble or food compared to cheap low quality kibble makes a huge difference. I'm sure you would rather have a nice juicy steak or stew compared to dehydrated noodles in a box. If you can smell the difference, I'm sure you can taste the difference, same with your girl! If you want to review kibble go to doogfoodanalysis.com, I learned a HUGE amount about dog food from there! Good luck! :)
