Well we had the same problem with our rottie, when he wants to go outside he just taps his paw on the window or screen which everr is there, and for sure he's 126 lbs, his paw goes right through the screen. After several screen replacements we were working one day, (swimming pool services company) we see a lot of animals and a lot of houses. This customer had a big lab and was sitting inside in front of the screen door, I said to the customer boy your lucky the dog hasn't damaged your screen. She said, its special! apparently here at home depot, you can buy special thicker screen, animal proof! It is a little darker and thicker, but no one notices it. We got some, replaced the old screen and it works wonders!!!! Ryker can scratch on it, whatever and it does not rip or tear!!!! You can probably check with local hardware stores too, I am sure you have a home depot there, they're everywhere. Hope this helps, it sure was a God send for us, I tell everyone about it, when I see patches of screen or tin on screen doors.
