I hope Riggo has many more good days. Hopefully the set back will be minor and he'll do well for a long time to come. Hang in there.

I am getting very discouraged. While his bone marrow seemed to be in good shape his lymph nodes flared after Xmas. He had a combination chemo treatment of elspar and vincristine New Years eve. Was supposed to get a follow-up treatment last Friday but the oncologist said that his blood counts were too low from the combo treatment the week before and that we'ld have to wait. While petting him today I noticed that his mandibular gland on his left side is getting enlarged again. This is very discouraging to me and I can't wait to see the oncologist on Friday. I really wish it was tomorrow.

God he looks in such good shape, his appetite is great and his demeanor is as energetic as ever. Things like this shouldn't happen to such a terriffic dog. I guess my prayers aren't being answered.

I beleive God answers all of our prayers, sometimes the answers we receive are not those that we want them to be. But God knows better than we do and if he hadn't answered your prayers then I don't beleive your boy would still be here. He is fighting a terrible fight and is doing really well consdiering so I think God has answered your prayers, you were able to have a wonderful holiday with your boy. It is a great blessing that you have been able to have him around this much longer and in such good health that he has enjoy while being in remission. I know I am not going through it right now but I know sometimes it really is hard to beleive that God hears us and he does care and does do things for our benefit, even if we don't see it at the time. Don't ever give up hope and don't stop praying for your boy. We will all be praying for him and for you to help heal your heart for what is to come. Unfortunately we all must go through the pain of losing those we love and it is always SO hard. I am very sorry this has happened, I know it's a hard thing to go through but you are doing and have done everything possible and Riggo knows that. Enjoy his lovely face as long as you can. Take joy in each day you have with him. When the time comes remember that you will see him again. I truly beleive that. God bless and I am wishing Riggo a long and happy time still here on earth.

Sending postive thoughts and vibes to you and Riggo. Do you happen to belong to the canine cancer yahoo group? There are many dogs on the list battling lymphoma. There is a wealth of information in the archives and the members are knowledgable and supportive. If you haven't already, you may find some advice there to help you and Riggo. You'll both be in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the kind words. I hadn't been out to the Yahoo site but maybe I can find some positive inspiration out there.

Vela,

Thanks for the kind words, I do appreciate it as I know that I have done everything for him I can. I hope the oncologist has some postive thoughts tomorrow but this is really discouraging.
