I'm so sorry about Apollo! I hope you can just bring him home and love him! You will know when it is time, when he gets too weak to go out and go potty, or just can't seem to function, or if he seems to be in a lot of pain. That's how I usually judge things before making the decision to euthanize.

Good luck. I know how difficult this is. I went through it last year, as many of us here at BW have.

Sending you lots of (((((HUGS)))))) and prayers.

I'm very sorry to hear about Apollo. I have my own thread going about my boxer Riggo who has been diagnosed with Leukemia/Hypercalcemia. The hypercalcemia made him very confused one morning and it really devestated me. I have sought out the aid of an excellent oncologist who is sounding fairly positive that her aggressive treatment will bring him a year or more of good quality life.

Keep us posted.

You will just know when it is time.

My heart goes out to you and this painful decision. I lost my 8.5 year old two years ago to the same dreadful disease. At the time of her diagnosis I couldn't let her go because she was still kidney beaning around, even though I knew her prognosis wasn't good. Ten days later when they brought her into to see us after a night at the emergency vet I just knew it was time. She came in and looked at us and tried to be excited, but didn't have the energy and immediately laid down. I knew then that she was ready to go.

We are thinking of you and your family through this difficult time.
