I am so glad to hear Sasha is feeling better and playing with Telmar. I am sure she is happy to be home safe with her family.

I forgot to mention that we were careful with the dogs we first brought Hannah around for the first few weeks. She was also normally very dominant and we were also surprised that she didn't fight back against her attacker. I think she was so shocked since it came out of no where. Hannah was ultimately fine with other dogs afterward, but we were careful just to be cautious...

Glad to hear that Sasha is recovering and feeling more like her boxer-self.

We took Lucky to the dog park last week and she was attacked by a mixed breed dog. Poor little Lucky was just standing like a good girl and this other dog came over to her, they sniffed each other, Lucky turned away and the other dog bit her ear/neck area. At first we thought she was OK, but then noticed that her ear was bleeding. The other owners took their dog and LEFT the park. After taking her to the vet, Lucky had stitched put in her ear and spent the night. The cut was about 1 1/2 inches long and through her ear. (she has natural ears.) She got the bandage and cone off 4 days later and gets the stitches out tomorrow. She's recovering OK and doesn't seem to be scared of dogs, but it will be awhile before we go back to the dog park.

Bad dogs come from bad owners

Glad your Sacha is doing better.

But this dog that attacked Sacha probably has done it before, because her owner allows her to do so. If dogs are not taught doggie manners then you cann't really blame the dog it's the owners fault.

My husband was taking my daughter and Diva (1yr old fawn) to the park to play when a pit bull mix dog came charging them out of no where. My husband picked up my daughter and the dogs started going at it. My husband pull free Diva and kicked the other dog. Diva had a couple of scratches but that's all. My daughter was crying and screaming when they were fighting my husband said. Well anyways the other dog took off and later that day we got a knock at our door from the owner of the other dog asking us to pay for his dogs vet bill because my husband kicked him and he had some scratches. (I guess a neighbor told him what happened) No injury was done but he still had the visit fee ($75). And I told him heck no. (yes in other words) I was furious. Not only that that man have the nurve to come and ask us to pay his wild dogs bill but he did not apologize for allowing his dog to roam the street and attack people/dogs. Comes to find out this was not the first time the dogs attacked for no reason. What if it was me and not my husband I wouldn't have been able to break up the fight while holding my daughter. Just thinking about it pisses me off.

Yes I do not like this dog one bit but I don't like the owner evenmore. Some people.........

I do not know what is the matter with dog owners who take their beloved dogs to "Dog Parks".Dogs are pack animals and when introducing a new dog to a dog park you are asking for trouble. If you want to socialize your pet take it to obedience training, visit other known pets, meet people, etc.

I personally can't stand politically correct Dog Parks and think they should not exist.

Sasha was very lucky the attacker wasn't a more aggressive animal or a larger animal such as a Rottweiller,Mastiff, etc.I'm not down on large breeds since we have had a Rottweiller and Dobe who were obedience trained and great pets.

Keep away from these "Dog Park" is my advice.

What a scary, terrible experience!! I'm so glad that your baby seems to be doing ok. Like all the other posts, I'm amazed at the irresponsible woman. I was also surprised to read so many similar stories. Wow, very scary. I have been meaning to get my two to a dog park but now I'm thinking I won't. I do go to the local park sometimes with them (we meet up with some of my family and their dogs) but all dogs have to be on leash so I don't have to worry about this type of thing. Well, I hope Sasha is ok. Sorry to hear of this sad situation.
