Safe age for dog park?

Brandi is almost 6 mos. and I have been taking her to drop in puppy classes but 6 mos is the cutoff age. I want to start taking her to the dog park but am a bit scared. I have a friend who kept taking his boxer to the dog park until he almost died of parvo, he was 8 mos. at the time!! Whats a safe age to take your dog where he can't get parvo anymore?

If your pup has had all its shots then you shouldn't have to worry about contracting parvo.

I've been taking mine since about 4 1/2 months. Just after all of their vaccinnes were complete with no problems. I think you're safe to go by now. Have fun!

Good deal! Brandi was done with her shots & spay about 3 wks ago. I'll try to go this wknd and see how it goes.

Yup, a week after her rabies shot (last of her shots) we went for the first time, so 4 months. At 6 months, she is now a regular and LOVES it! It is great for socialization and she quickly learned after getting nipped that not everyone is your friend.
