Hi Everybody,

I'm not sure if you all know this for sure yet, but Sunday September 22nd is set for our Boxer Bash in Sacramento. Let's meet there at 11:00am at Carmichael Dog Park, and I have put direction info at the bottom of this post.

It's a really big dog park with plenty of shade, a water area for the pups, and a few picnic tables. So, I guess we could even bring some picnic lunches if we want. Let's just say it's a bring your own lunch event. Feel free to tell all of your boxer friends, and I'll try to round up a few other boxer owners that I know here in Sacramento.

If you have any ideas that we should implement - please let me know. I've never planned one of these before or even been to one for that matter!

I will also go ahead and post another thread announcing the date and time.

Directions:

I tried to post a link with a map from mapquest, but it wasn't working. Just go to www.mapquest.com and click on driving directions. Enter your own address in the "From" section, then enter: 5750 Grant Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608 in the "To" section. This should give you both a map and written instructions on how to get there. The dog park itself is inside of a huge park. There are softball fields and all kinds of things there, so you may have to drive around a little til you see the actual dog park. If you have trouble getting directions, send me a Private Message or e-mail. Do the same if you want my cell # in case you get lost.

Well, when you see the girls at the dog park, make sure to offer Congratulations! Sneaker picked up her 2nd Major win this weekend in Southern California. That little girl is quite something

Hey Everybody!

We are still doing our big bash on Sunday, September 22nd, but if there is anyone that just can't hardly wait, and wants to meet us a little earlier also, there are a couple of us that are getting together on Monday, August 5th at 6:30 in the evening. So far it's just Laurie with her 2 boxers, and me with my 2 boxers, and we would love some more!

This will be at the Citrus Heights dog park. From I80, exit at Antelope Rd and head east on Antelope Rd, continue to Sunrise Blvd (about 2 miles) turn right on Sunrise Blvd, approximately 1 mile turn left on Oak Street. The dog park is on Oak St at C-Bar Park (its on the left approximately 1 mile from Sunrise). Pull into the parking lot (its also a baseball park) and the dog park is immediately to your right.

My Boxer Boys

Since ChewysMom addressed me on the board I figured I should introduce myself and our boxers! We have a 11 month old and 7 month old boxer boys. Both fawn, docked tails and natural ears. They are my babies!! So adorable and such a handful. They love the "puppy park" in Citrus Heights! In fact, we just got home from an evening visit there. I hope everyone else in the area joins us on the 5th.....I can't wait until Sept and either can Bud or Indy!!

Hey Everybody,

I just wanted to tell you that we had such a blast at our "mini-bash" which turned into a full blown large scale boxer bash. My hubby counted at least 18 boxers there!!!! Thanks to Laurie for inviting so many boxer lovers! We got a group picture with maybe about 12 of the boxers (with owners). I'll post pictures hopefully tomorrow night.

So we're still on for Sept 22, and I think it will be huge, because a bunch of the local boxer owners that were there last night are also interested in coming on Sept 22nd. I can't wait!!!

WOW !!! eighteen boxers romping....how great is that hmmmmm maybe I will need to train someone to take my place at work so I can have a night off...sept 22 huh.....gee I sure want to take Brody to play....
