Runny Stool on Merric Puppy Kibble! Thinking Chicken Soup To Try Next?

I currently have a 5 month old Boxer that was started out on Purina Beniful (they didn't know much about foods I guess) and then I switched her to Merric - Puppy Plate.

She has a runny stool almost 80% of the time and the other 20% isn't much better, I have had her on this for about 2 months now and I am thinking of something different. I am wanting to keep price down and please also keep in mind I have a year old full size standard Yorkie as well so the food I get has to be ok for him to eat as well (a descent size kibble).

I was looking at ultimately putting them on Diamond since its like 25 bucks for 40lb's but the kibble seems a bit big.

I was testing out kibble sizes at the pet store and I think my next dog food try will be Chicken Soup for the Puppy Soul. It seems to a good rated food (5 Stars On Dog Food analysis) and the kibble size is small enough for the Yorkie and still good for my Boxer.

Any thoughts on this kibble? O know alot of people talk about TOTW but that's a bit pricey for us and we are needing something a little cheaper without having to go to horrible store bought food.

Thanks so much for any info or feedback you can give me on this.

Yeah I agree with the above and actually the TOTW is only about 4 cents per pound more expensive in my area than chicken Soup. Chicken Soup runs $45 for 35 pound bag or $40 for a 30 pound bag of the TOTW (and you feed less of the TOTW than the CS). I've seen a wide range of prices on TOTW anywhere from $40 to $65 in my area so you may want to call around and see what various places sell it for in your area.

On the food you mentioned in another post you free feed, it's a good possibility you're overfeeding by doing that so I'd first say cutting your pup down to either 2 meals a day or if you truly want to free feed then put less in the bowl would be a good place to start. The #1 cause of diarrhea is over feeding so before switching foods and going to all of that trouble that would probably be the best and easiest place to start.

Good luck.
