Everytime I take Koda on a walk, he poops very runny. His poop at home is normal dog poop, and only runny when we're on a walk.

Nerves? I'm not running him, we're just walking along, he's acting normally. Then he'll fart and poop.

Sorry for this gross topic, but I'm a little worried about it.

I think maybe nerves??? I know they get real excited to be out on a walk.
I also have a wierd walk/poop issue......(sorry, but BW people are the only people on earth I talk about these strange things with!)
Cassius will ONLY poop ON a plant or a tiny tree while out on walks??????
His butt is actually on top of the plant while he's going????
Ever heard of a weirdo thing like this?

Walking and exercise actually stimulates the bowels, so the runny poop while on a walk is very normal! When Herkie and I go for a long walk, we run into this, as do many others. As long as he's acting normal, and healthy otherwise...I wouldn't worry about it!

Alohaboxer...Herkie does the SAME thing! He loves to squat on bushes or monkey grass, which makes clean-up kind of awkard at times. If he can't have bushes or monkey grass, he preferes pine needles with his butt close to a tree. Gotta love them!

Without fail, Beasley's poops are alwasy more runny when we go for walks than they are at any other time. I personally think it's more from sheer excitement than nerves...so many new smells, so many new distractions. Makes picking it up a complete joy - NOT!!

Beasley also seems to get some strange thrill out of pooping on top of stuff...the real trick is keeping him from kicking it all up before I can get everything picked up!

O.K this is horrible but...
Yes when I take Buster out especially off leash his poo is really sloppy, and to make it worse he spins around while doing it,( If youve ever seen a muck spreading machine, you will know what I mean!) but this is only on a walk.
I have a friend whos dog is exactly the same and we have always put it down to being over excited.

Hehe, yeah my boxers runny too, excitment methinks coz he,s still only 7 months, also, why cant they just stand still in one spot when "pooing" , like ahem, normal dogs!

Owen's poops are very loose on walks, at the park, etc. Basically whenever he's excited and the vet said its normal since all other times they are firm and he's healthy. :)
