runny nose and eyes

my pup is only 6 1/2 weeks old. His eyes and nose are always running. i was just wondering if that was normal. this is my first boxer and i love him to death. Thank god for this place or i wouldn't know what to expect

Our seven month old has runny eyes, too. The vet said it is normal in boxers. Yet if you are really concerned, I would suggest asking your vet. We wipe Maggie's eyes with eye wipes and they seem to do the trick.

My Maggie went through that for about three weeks or so after I brought her home. The vet said that it was probably her system getting used to the carpet, furniture materials, etc., in my home and in time, it would go away. Sure enough, it did and she was just fine.

If there is a greenish or yellow discharge from either the eyes or nose, take the pup to the vet as that may indicate an infection. Otherwise, if the mucus is white (opaque) or clear, not to worry.
