Hi, My new puppy (12 weeks today) has runny eyes. It reminds me that she is always crying?? Always wet. Is this normal in Boxers? I have a Vet appt. for next Thursday. They have been like this since we brought her home.

Thanks!

My oldest has the same thing. The puppie has a little bit. I think it is a natural thing with boxers. Hopefully everything is fine.

I mentioned Clarice's runny eyes to my vet and she said it is a really bad time for allergies at the moment. She has booger eyes ALL the time!

I have never had a Boxer; that had no running eyes. I really don't know what to do. On top of that : it SMELLS... very strongly of ripe camembert. I rinse the eyes every day, but the vet say it is caused by the typical form of the lower eyelids, which are turned a little bit inwards. Anybody has the same experience ?

My 3 get runny eyes every so often. Tyson very rarely does and Sheeba does the most. One of Pru's pups had runny eyes about a week after first vaccinations. It only lasted a few days. Another one's eyes have been slightly runny for a few days but seems to be clearing up.

I never thought too much of it and just figured they had some sort of a cold or something (except the pup that had runny eyes after being vaccinated...I blamed that on the shots).

I would be more concern if the eyes had an odor though. Katrien, you might want to ask your vet for some eye drops and see if that helps.

Mia has runny eyes as well. Her's have no smell though. I would ask the vet if the smell made it a problem. I know runny eyes are very common in boxers. I have never seen a boxer without runny eyes.

My twelve week girl just had another checkup at the vets today. Her left eye tears a little bit now and then. The vet told me her third eyelid curls in just a little, and this is what is causing the tearing. It's nothing major, but we will keep a close eye on it.

Bandit has also had "oye boogers" I think that it's a combination of allergies, and the way that their heads are shaped, they may have "overactive" tear ducts. Just like they snort more than other breeds, i think they just "ooze" more. I'm sure your baby is fine.
