Completely Boxer Crazy
I remember the day we brought you home, you were just barely bigger than your Daddy's hand. We brought you home to meet your new family and introduce you to Vexxor, your big brother. Vex wasn't so impressed with you at first but boy you two sure became the best of friends. When you were 5 we lost Vexxor and you were so sad. A few months later Daddy brought home a new friend for you, Hurricane, your sister. It didn't take long for you to become imseperable. You two boxed, snuggled, played she even taught you how to bark! You tried to teach her how to woo woo but she never figured that out.
You were the ring bearer at our wedding, you even slept in the wedding bed.
We took you and your sister on our honeymoon to Tofino, B.C. You had a blast running and playing with us in the Ocean. You had a great trip exept when the rain and windstorm hit, you sure were in impressed with that storm, running backwards to get away from the wind.
I could go on for hours about the things we did togeather. You came on every camping trip, we took you everywhere. Except when we went to Belize with left you with Grandma and you drug her big plant down the hall and then pee'd all over it. You were such a good swimmer, even jumping in after the Canadian Geese when the lake was frozen.
February 2009 we were about a km into our walk on the dyke when you collapsed on me. I through myself down on the ground trying to get you up. Your eyes were open but you were so weak. I rushed you into the ER and you stayed in ICU for the night. You would woo woo and bat your paw at the cage eveytime the girls would walk by you. I was so scared to bring you home afraid you would die. You had many holter monitors and with each test the results got worse. No one would have ever known you had heart diesase. You ran, played, and woo woo'd always with a smile.
Then came the MCT. You braved it like a warrior and won.Through everything you were happy and so loving.
The brain tumor took its toll. I don't believe it ever caused you any pain but in the end it took your ability to get around on your own away. I don't want to remember you that way. I am going to remeber all the other amazing things about you.
We knew your time was coming and it was so hard to bring ourselves to let you go.
When I came home at lunch to check on you today my worst fear came true, you had gone to heaven. You went to the bridge on the patio with your sister by your side.
I will miss you, I already miss you. I will miss you waking me up on weekend mornings standing on top of me woo wooing because you thought it was time to get up. I will miss your wet nose on my face. I will miss you the smell of you in the sunshine. I will miss buying you stuffed animals so you could remove all the stuffing. I will miss pulling the stuffing out of your mouth so you wouldn't eat it, it always got stuck to your lips. I will miss you boxing with your sister. I miss you buddy.
My Super Odin I hope you are running free at the bridge with Vexxor.
Until we meet again Super O's
Your mommy loves you so deeply.
