Rolling in feces

I have a question, I was taking Niner on her walk and then a notice she starting rolling on something on the grass. When I went to see on what she was rolling it was another's dog feces. Is that normal? and why do they do it?

my roxie does this and its absolutley disgusting cause then she wants to try and get in my lap, but the last time i seen her do it is we went hunting and were walking around she bolted ahead and then i could not see her through the grass i finally got to were she was and she was just wallering in and tring to cover every inch of her body it looked like, i would really like to know why they do this and what you can do to stop it.

I'm not sure why they do this but both my dogs do it, they will drop and roll on other dogs crap or drop and roll on dead rodents or small animals. It's gross, I can only thank god it only happend once or twice a year!!!

Thank u, at least i know my baby isn't the only one. I thought there was something wrong with her. Now thinking about she has done it 3 times and they were the same day that I washed her.
