ok, so we're considering this barf thing. I bought Dr Pitcairn's and Dr. Billinghurt's books. I bought some of Dr. B's premade patties, the complete kind that have meat + veggies in them

Dr B recommends in his book for dogs who may be prone to digestive upset (like mine) that they start barf with just raw meaty bones for the first several days.

Does this mean...and now here is my big question.....I can just get some chicken wings and let my dog eat them RAW? I'm half serious and half incredulous. Please advise!

Yep, you sure can :) Until he learns to chew, you might want to hold onto one end of the wings so he doesn't swallow them whole...

Chicken parts (be it wings, frames or necks) basis of many dog's raw diets. IMO necks are actually better than either wings or frames (and in the case of wings, they're also cheaper ;) ).

Before diving into BARF though, it really is worth doing a bit of research. You've got a couple of very good books, but there's also a wealth of information here as well if you browse through previous threads in this forum.
