Ripley and the Bathtub

Since my back has been hurting like crazy, I decided to take a soak in the sub last night. I brought Ripley in the bathroom with me with his favorite toys. When I got in the tub, he lost all interest in his toys and decided that he desperately wanted to get into the tub with Mommy! He put his little paws up on the edge of the tub and started to make the funniest noises I have ever heard! He sounds like a mini Chewbacca! It was hilarious! The he backed up all the way to the door and took off running towards the tub like he was going to leap into it, only to chicken out at the last second and just put his paws back up on the side. He did this about 4-5 times all while making his crazy Wookie talk. I laughed till I almost cried! Then when I got out he proceeded to lick the water off of my legs. What a silly boy!

LMAO that is the funniest description I've read in a long time...what a good way of describing those weird noises...it does sound like a wookie...Sam does it when we are driving to the dog park...as soon as he recognizes the route, he starts up...

No matter where i am in the condo, the instant he hears the bath, he's in the bathroom and then when I'm in it he stands there and wants to drink the bath tub water...he just stares at me until i dribble a little from my hand so he can get it...*sigh* he's so weird.

Funny! Jake has become such a nuisance when I'm in the bath, that I have banned him from the bathroom. He won't leave me alone while I'm in the tub (wants to help I guess), but I'm afraid allowing him to lick soap off my arm will make him sick.

That is SO funny...Bentley does that same thing when any of us get in the tub.
We always tell him that he's nuttier than a fruit cake.

My boy does this too. It's pretty funny - he desperately wants to lick the water off of my legs.

I have a clear shower curtain. A standard part of the routine every morning is for Kev to sit just on the other side of the curtain and watch/participate in/comment on the shower. When I'm washing my hair and face, he woo woos and circles a bit ("ARE YOU NUTS!! What are you doing getting your face/head wet! That obviously is terrible!"), and when I'm washing my legs, he tries to poke his head through the curtain and lick the water off of my calves. And of course, when I'm done, he's there to make sure that all of the water gets licked off of my legs.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Boxer lovicon . I have had my own personal "dryer" for 3 years now. Cody just loves to lick the water off of legs.
And both of my boxers are very fluent in the Wookian language. I just love it. The sad part comes when you start to understand it

Daisy does the same thing--she's my shower buddy and just loses it when my boyfriend's in the tub. She also likes to steal the bath mat while I'm in the shower so I'm left "high and dry", so to speak, when I'm ready to get out.

Then she licks my legs.
