My furkid contracted ringworm. I would like to know if anyone can give me some advice on over the counter treatments. I.E., creams etc.. The help would be greatly appreciated. Also is it a threat to his life or is it just a bad fungus. I will probably take him to the vet on monday of next week when I get paid. Until then my neighbor gave me some cream. SHe is a vet nurse she said it would help. Any info is a must. THanks and pray for us.

I'd have to agree with Krikkit to the vet ASAP. We thought Monster had ringworm and it turned out it was a viral skin infection as opposed to a fungus. Thus it was treated in a totally different way! Good Luck.

Hi Stumpf

Just stumbled across this posting and wondered what you used and any good tips. I have dealt with this stubborn fungus for a while now. Back and forth, going back to the vet this Sat to beg for oral treatment I can use along with baths and creams. Trying also to locate betadine in my area, stores indicate they have it but can't locate in the store, thanks to a helpful reply. Just wondered how your situation came out.

take care, hope all is well!

Hi sagesoto -

This thread is about 5 years old, so probably no luck in getting a reply. Before responding to a post, you can check the date of the thread in the upper left-hand corner of the post.

I would suggest starting a new thread on this topic, if you have a question. ;)
