Flying debris, accidents, jumping out of the vehicle, getting heads stuck in windows..all that, is the reason my furbabies are treated like skin babies/kids and they not allowed free roam of my vehicle and they are secured in their "seat". They are either crated (which is secured in case of an accident, the crate won't or shouldn't fly across the truck) or they are seatbelted. Normally its the crate.

So glad to hear your baby is ok. Its so scarey when things like that happen. (I keep my windows on "lock" since i have a 4 yr old daughter that loves to roll her window all the way down..rather not have her fly out the window God forbid we have an accident, or having her stick her hand/arm out the window and having a tragic accident happen. No one can roll down the window without asking me to unlock the windows or roll it down myself..serves its purpose with the kids but when there's adult company in my truck its a bit funny for them to ask me to roll the window down)

I want to thank everyone for their positive feed back and well wishes. I am so glad that our experience may prevent this from happening to someone else. Riley had no bad effects and we are so thankful.

I am a 911 dispatcher and we had a small child strangle to death from the window. Her mom left her in the car and ran inside her sisters house. When she came out the child was not breathing and died a short time later. It was so terrible.

I also don't have this problem, my skin kids are just as nutty as your dog and are likely to do the same thing. Or throw their shoe, hat, toy, ...any object smaller than the the window out of the window!! For this reason, my windows have been on lock since 2002!!

So glad everything worked out OK. I can't imagine the scare you got. I love power windows but I just am so scared of ever going into a pond or like you said your baby pressing the botton that I can't bring myself to buy a car with power locks. That's just me and it is a phobia I have. I read about a golden that died from pushing the power lock and noboby could get in the car to help it. Such a tradegy. So glad everything is ok for you and your baby.
