Don't be hesitant to adopt a rescue. I did. He was adopted at 14 months and I've never regretted it yet. Yes, some retraining needed to be done, however, he is a quick learner and has the greatest temperment. I too have had two previous dogs - Weinmariners from pups - but this boxer is something else. A laugh a day, new trick a month. Good luck in finding that special puppy!
