Update

I've made a friend for life. DH and I were eating out late this weekend and a man approached our table. I thought, "who in the heck is this guy?" It was Skynyrd's new dad! I got to meet his GF and get an update on our boy. His GF has a dachsund and I was a little worried about how'd they'd interact. Turns out they are great friends. Skynyrd couldn't be in a better place. Yeah!

Awww! What a wonderful think you did! I'm sure it's soo hard to not have your baby around, but I think he was really needed at his new home. I just feel bad for your other baby who misses him so! Awww. At least she still has a brother at home!

I believe anyone that fosters has a huge heart. I remember picking up Conner from his foster. She had him for about 8 months and cried when we left with him. I know it would be hard for me to let a baby go after even a short time. I guess knowing that they are going to a good home is how you must be able to do it.

Much to DH's dismay, I'm seriously considering fostering another. I keep my eye on the local pounds to see if they have any Boxers and will pull one out in a heartbeat before its euthanized. Its seems they are adopted pretty quick around here. I've called on two but both were in the adoption process. Its funny what I've turned into. I have a friend who may be divorcing and they have a Boxer. So I tried with utmost sensitivity to ask what was going to happen to their dog. My friend laughed so hard! She said if they needed to find her a home I'd be the first person they ask. These dogs have made me a crazy person.

One can only imagine the joy and the heartbreak you are going through right now, just know that your kindness is apreciated. I'm sure this gentleman was going through his own heartache of losing his baby, but you put him first and that is a rare gesture. Good luck to you and yours. All will be just fine, don't stress!
