Emma has a red rash on her belly. She is currently at the vet and they are testing her for a bunch of things. Mange is one of them. I do not think it is because it has cause no hair loss and is only on her belly. I thought it was more popular other places. I thought the most likely was an allergy. Anyone have any other ideas. Thanks.

I found out that when Mopar plays outside in the grass and he rubs his belly across the grass he breaks out in a red rash. It goes away after awhile so I figured it was an allergy. We went through the puppy mange thing so I know the difference...

Nestle had a red rash on her belly a few years ago. It was only on the part of her belly that doesn't have hair and it sometimes developed little white bumps. We had her into the vet and he said he couldn't tell for sure what caused it but he gave us a spray (I believe it was called Genta Spray) to put on the rash. We used it for a couple of months whenever we would notice a flare-up and then it just went away completely and hasn't come back. Maybe Emma has something similar.

Recently this happend to my dog and it was from both grass and heat. You can try giving him benadryl if it does'nt go away. Also, a cold cloth my feel good to him.
