Recently neutered and going to the bathroom indoors again!!???

Hi Everyone!

I have a small dilema and wondering if anyone has experienced this....
Lennox is 7.5 months old and a bit over a week ago we got him neuterd. He healed just fine and is back to his happy self. The only thing is this past week he did his business in the house twice! He is pretty much house broken- or so I thought and has not had any accidents in a looong time, all of a sudden he pees and poops! in the house.
Could this have anything to do with the neutering????
I started watching him closely and letting him out more often then usual just in case, but these incidents seem kind of strange.
Has anyone encountered such a thing???

We had the same problem with Mya when she was spayed. I'm not sure about the neutering. It only lasted about 2 weeks and she just couldn't help it. She would just pee and it would shock her too!

Sitka did this a few times after she was spayed, as well. Potty habits should go back to normal shortly.....

dogs go through a rebellious' phase in their development at around 9 months. adding the fact that he was also recently altered, which can sometimes cause a slight regression in housebreaking, it sounds as if it is pretty normal. a quick refresher course of potty training 101, should correct this problem. just go back to basics for a while and guide him along the right path and he'll be back to his usual self in no time.

We haven't had any accidents since this past weekend, but I will continue to watch him closely for a while
