raw bones=mess..what to do?

I love getting raw meaty bones for Mojo (and obviously he loves it too!). They make a MESS all over my floor, and when I take them outside, they get grass, dirt, bugs, etc all over them. Where do you give your boxers their raw bones so that they don't make a mess or get super dirty?

Ditto! I feed raw outside too. And they always seem to drop that piece of meat in a grassless spot, covering it with dried up dirt and they drool over it the same. My Mom always said, "a little dirt never hurt anyone." LOL They really don't care, just us do. They lick their butts anyways, so whats a little dirt gonna hurt them? LOL

Cami eats hers inside, on the carpet but.....I put a big beach towel down first. When she sees that towel come out she does a happy dance and knows what is coming.
She only gets them with supervision so I can tell her to "put it back" (meaning back on the towel) if she starts to get near the carpet.

You're right. He'll be fine with a little dirt! Maybe I'll just hose off the patio and throw it out there.

Yep yep, ditto that. I let them chew them outside for an hour or so and then once most of the meat is off and they're not as gross I let them bring them inside for a bit. You could also give them in the crate just make sure you clean it well afterwards.

Mine get them about once or twice a month and ALWAYS outside. If they take them in the dirt - oh well.

We feed ours one at a time in a crate. We can't give them all at once, there would be fights.

My dogs know that those are "outside bones". If they continue to try to bring them inside then they go away. When they're done (depending on the condition) I either throw them away or if they're clean they can bring them in.
