Rabies Scare

For all of you in south florida there is a rabies scare in cooper city, davie area. Just be aware and stop feeding the wildlife that may brong this around your beautiful boxers...lookout!

The only wildllife we have in the yard, are those big Miscove ducks!!
We have a canal behing our house, and we see a lot of them. So far, no Racoons. Thanks for the warning!

The rabies case with the cat was actually where my Mom lives in Davie. This scares me to death. The owners have a bunch of stray cats that have been dropped off there over the years, and the never vaccinated any of them! They started getting them done after the first one came down with it, but they've yet to catch them all.

Please make sure your babies are up to date on all vaccines!

I heard it was a bull dog that bit 2 people and the dog died then they found out he had rabies and that was also in the davie weston area.

Yes, I heard about the bulldog too. He was the latest. The cat was a couple of weeks ago. The bulldog's shots were only like 4-5 months past due :eek: ! I'm so glad that Owen got his shots last month.

tina, I know what your talking about. it is getting really bad here in south florida. we had a couple of rabies alerts last year and the year before. I always get these raccoons in my garbage. I always take my babies out at night and stand there to make sure the raccoons do not get into the fenced area. the raccoons are not afraid of anything.
