I'm not sure if this is a silly question or not, but I've been noticing lately that when Murray gets up in the morning, it sounds like he's just getting out of the bathtub and he's shaking the water off his body. Sometimes I've even heard him do it during the normal course of the day. As a first-time ever dog owner I was wondering if this os okay? :confused:

Shaking water off of his body in the morning? Where does he sleep and how hot does it get? Is he actually shaking water off of his body - or just shaking?

That's exactly what it's like -- I guess he is waking himself up with his ears!

Ok, I see what you mean now. Yes, Chewy does this too. It starts with his head and ends with his butt. Maybe they do it since they don't get coffee in the morning.

Yes my Zoe does this too, actually many times a day, especially after naps. Another thing she does in the morning when she wakes up is stretch her legs, it is so funny. She kind of stretches her legs when she walks.:p

Murray does it a couple of times a day, too. Don't you just love the stretches! I love to watch him stretch!

Our Georgie (see picture left) does this too! Perhaps they're all dreaming of rivers, lakes, ponds, seas....

Brogan does this all the time too. Just like Chewy's mom said, it ends with the butt shake. It's amazing how she keeps her front legs perfectly stiff and then shakes her whole behind.. legs and all!
