Boxers are a medium, not large, breed
LOL even the food manufacturers can't agree on what is "large", with some making their large breed formulas for dogs over 75-100 lb, others for more medium sized animals, over just 50lb. Correctly, though, the boxer is certainly a medium breed, and should never be considered in the same category as large and giant breeds (some of which do have specific dietary requirements).
Irrespective of that though - I wouldn't get too carried away by what size of dog the food packaging indicates. It is what is *inside* the bag that counts. Sometimes the singluar difference between foods indicated for "large", "small" and standard sized breeds is the packaging (and possibly the size of the kibble pieces). In some other cases, there are actually formula differences - sometimes it's less meat in the large breed food, sometimes it's less fat, sometimes it's the reverse and there's MORE of those indgredients in the food. In short, there simply is NO standard difference between large and medium breed formulas, so you have to read the ingredient labels and determine which is best suited to your dog.
In the case of Wellness puppy formulas - there are a few differences. Both the large breed puppy and the standard puppy formulas, however, would be perfectly well suited to a boxer pup. In short, either one of them would be a perfectly good choice
