Question about switching food

Nina is on the Nutro puppy food for large dogs...this is what the breeder had her on.So now that she has been with us for 3 weeks i have decided to slowly began to switch her to PERFORMATRIN ULTRA hormone free lamb and rice....it is a lot more expencive...almost 20 bucs more but after much research i feel it is worth spending a bit more and therefore a lot less at the vets(lets hope)
My question is....has anyone here heard anything about this food.
So far i have noticed her poop is a bit smaller...less stinky...she has less stuff on her eyes...but its only been 1 week and i have only mixed half a handfull to her old one.
Also shoould i go for the puppy mix...or go straight to adult one....i have read here there is no need for puppy...but ofcourse the petstores say otherwise....the adult one is 10 bucs cheaper.
I am feeding her 1 and 1/2 cup 3 times a day
On a funnier note Nina has lost 3 more teeth...i found them in her crate....she must be spitting them out as they come out for me to seeLOL
No tooth fairy here Nina ( i say) but i am sure Santa will bring her lots of treatsLOL

I've never heard of that food, but just wanted to add that Nina can now say " All I want for christmas is my two front teeth" Remember that song? Too cute

I kept 3 of Delilah's teeth....... two tiny molars and one teeeny tiny front tooth.

I don't think most of us here are familier with this food you've mentioned, why don't you post the ingrediants for us to see?

You don't need a puppy formula, go straight to the adult is fine. Also don't need large breed formula if they had one...

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! Your vet recommended large breed puppy chow???!

Boxer's are not Large Breed Dogs, they are medium breed dogs -- and wow -- she recommended puppy food?

Since this board is an open forum, and full of opinions, I'll post mine I definitely would not feed large breed, or "puppy chow" or puppy food.

But back to Tasillo's question: I agree with BooBoo and Riley's mom. Can you post us the ingredients? I am not familiar with the food either.

We rotate every few months the following foods (to swap protein sources):
Wellness, Innova and Eagle Pack Holistic. But there are many great super-premium kibbles out there. Good luck finding yours!

HEY! wow what a oincidence im looking to switch Cinnamons food and i was calling around asking for Wellness or Natural Balance and I was told about Performatrin Ultra..its apparenlty made to compete with Wellness. Just wondering where youre getting yours and how much? Pet Valu is where I hear about it..theyre going to give me a sample bag when i go in tomorrow to see how Cin likes it.

Pet Valu is where i get mine too and Nina loves it so far....from everything i have read on it it is amazing...the lady at the pet valu switched her dog to it as he is older and has arthritis and is on meds....well now he is off the meds due to the food....She told me it is outselling welness....it is expencive but like i said in my 1st post...for me its worth 20 bucs more for a healthy dog

yeah i know the 7 lb bag is $18.95 thats all i got out of the store Im going tomorrow to buy one of the small bags hopefully Cinnamon will like it....fingers crossed.
