Hi everyone! Im bringing home a new guy on Christmas Eve. A white boxer pup, his name is Seven. The breeder lives 5 hours away, so Seven will be in the car for 5 hours with new people, and everything from that point on will be new to him. Would it or would it not be a good idea to bring along a friend for him, my brothers 4 month old boxer, named Capone. Capone is really calm, not a full fledged puppy.....yet. So let me know if you think bringing Capone would be TOO much for Seven or not. I just want him to be as comfortable as possible. Thanks for your responses. Shawn and Seven.

I think you should leave other puppy at home, ask breeder to put an old rag or some material in with litter now so it can get some of the smells and bring that home with you as a comfort for Seven.
Dont forget to stop every so often for a breather/water for you and the puppy.

Our drive with 7 week old Layla at the time, was 4 hours...I just held her and she was antsy for the first hour or so, but then calmed down and slept on my chest for the rest of the ride. It was an awesome bonding opportunity and honestly, I cherish that car ride so much now that she is getting bigger (11 wks). I have kept her in the car a lot since then (trips back and forth to my parents' house over Christmas) and she is so good in the car, I attribute it to her early car rides with us...Good Luck!
