Boxer Pal
Hey again,
I have a question for you boxer experts. I am bringing a Boxer puppy home in March. I have one cat already, 16 years old, not a problem because she is very antisocial and rarely ventures down from the refrigerator where she occassionally takes a swipe at passing heads. Here's my sort of dilemna. I plan on aquiring another dog, either a Boxer or a Boston (my first love.) My question is this, what sex, male or female would better accept a companion later on? Is there a difference? If I do get another dog, should it be a different sex? I have only owned one dog at a time previously, BUT I have an 8 month old, soon to be nine month old (they grow up so fast!!!) and she more than likely at some point will want a pet of her own. I know this is kind of early to be thinking, but I like to really plan something out before I embark on it. I researched buying Gidget (my BT) for a year before getting her. Keep in mind that this will be 5 or 6 (possibly longer) years in the future. So this will be an adult dog being introduced to a puppy. I plan to socialize my puppy, but I want to be sure there's no serious animosity. I hope this post makes sense. LOL
