Question about food related to pup's coat!

I'm currently feeding our 9 week old Chicken Soup and she seems to like it and is doing pretty good on it. My only two concerns are this:

1. (main reason I'm unsure) her coat seems to have a dull look to it. its not sleek and shiny looking like it should be. i don't know why that is...

2. she poops A LOT more than on a food we had her on to adjust her digestive system. like i mean she poops almost every other time we go outside.

any suggestions or thoughts??

Keep in mind that puppies do poop a LOT. As for the dull coat, try mixing in egg once or twice per week.

Every dog is different, and so a kibble that works great for some may not work great for others. You may have to experiment a bit, to find a premium food that works for you.

Have you considered a raw diet?

I know that puppies poop a lot but like I mentioned, it has seemed to double since we put her on Chicken Soup.

And do you think it is the food causing her coat to appear dull? And if I added egg, would I scramble them?

We have 2 boxers. We fed Brody our 1 year old eukanuba for the first year. His coat was fine poop fine then we got Abby and after reading several posts on foods we decided to try Canidae. We thought since its a premium food compared to eukanuba why not give them the best. Well on canidae we had ALOT of poop. Brodys coat began to fall out in little patches and they both did not feel as soft. We put them back on eukanuba basically because we knew it worked for Brody. Since, Brodys hair has almost completely grown back they both are shiny and soft, Abby has gained some weight, and their poop is so much better I know alot of people dont like eukanuba however it works for our two, all I can say is try some other foods. One will work and when it does stick with it!! When you switch our vet told us to do it over 3-4 days. Good luck!!

Chicken Soup? Not familiar with that. Have you looked at the ingredients? A lot of foods have bi-product or corn that can cause a lot of pooping and may not be offering the nutrients and protien pups need. Also maybe adjust the feeding amount, a lot of foods suggest anywhere from 1/2 to a couple of cups of food when your dog may only need a portion of that per feeding. The best quality foods a lot of times will throw you off when you look at the suggested amount in the food bowl and you may think, "that's not enough", but the premium foods out there should be fully digestable so they really do not need as much as they would of a lesser quality food to get the nutrition they need. I have seen a lot of people unintentionally overfeed. If your pup's coat is dull, it is always a great idea to look into some supplements to add to the food, such as linatone or other things with fatty acids and vitamins. Good luck!

Chicken Soup is a premium food with great ingredients, but as Courtney323 said, not every kibble works for every dog. As far as adding eggs, you could scramble them or just add them raw (which is what I do). You might also try a different Premium food and see how that works.
