When ya'll crate do ya'll put any type of blanket or anything in there? Each time I put one in there he pee's on it. Without the blanket he never pee's. What's up?

Then I would suggest not putting a blanket in! We did, but bailey never went in her crate! Even from a puppy! How big is the crate! Maybe its too big for her??

No blanket would be a good idea! I can't keep anything in Rocky's crate because he will tear it up (attempting to resolve his separation anxiety). Maybe they just feel better with nothing in there

Max has a blanket at night, but not any other time as he will tear it up. Odi, so far, is OK with a blanket all the time.

My baby has a blanket and a bed in his crate....he doesn't chew on it...he used to have a pillow too, but for some reason he didn't want it anymore and chewed it up!! He has never gone pee in his crate even as a pup. I would say that it's too big of a crate. I've heard that if they pee in it that it's too big.

I agree with the other posters its probably too big for him. I also have a blanket in reg's crate and he hasn't destroyed it yet but he does bundle it all up and push it too the front so I can't even see him in there (probably angry with me for something)

harleys always been okay with the blankets in his crate.

hes in there 10 hours a day between commuting time and work time.

poor thing.

for the most part hes excellent in there, but once every 2 or 3 months he does have an accident. i dont blame him, i know i cant go 10 hours. he carefully lifts the blankets in one end of the crate and pushes them over to the other end. then he pees on the bottom of the crate. isnt that funny? just so he doesnt pee on his "bed". then he curls himself up in a tight little ball on the small blanketed area he has left.

I had this problem with Roxy when she was younger and one day I realized that it was not that she didn't pee without the blanket in there but that she licked up the pee when the blanket wasn't in there (I caught her one day). With the blanket in there it was harder for her to clean up after herself. I would imagine that your baby may be doing the same thing???? If he's really young maybe he just can't hold his bladder yet. Roxy is 10 mos old now and I've started putting a blanket back in with her and she's fine.
