question about bite inhibition

We have been trying to teach Bea bite inhibition and I think she's made a lot of progress. She still mouths us but never really bites down - when she "bites" you rarely even feel teeth. The problem is that other people don't necessarily understand bite inhibition and are still *understandably* put off or scared by a pup who plays so much with her mouth. I guess my question is what to do next...now that we have her to a point where we can trust her not to hurt us how do we teach her to be less "mouthy" in general? I know it's normal puppy behavior and I'm not asking for miracles but I just hate the thought of people being scared or nervous around her.

Dogs don't have hands with thumbs so they can only grab things, play, etc. using their mouth. Bite inhibition is just that. You cannot ask a dog not to bite at all.

If your friends don't like a little nibble on their arm hair and no one is getting hurt by your dog's inhibited biting, tell your friends to cut off their hands and see what's left for them.

Stop listening to your friends who know nothing about dogs. That's why Boxerworld is here. Perhaps you can educate them, instead of them offering their unfounded, uneducated opinions on dog behavior.
