Putting Paws On You

Fletcher can not be sitting near you unless he has a paw on your lap. It is so funny. He comes and sits next to you and immediately the paw goes in your lap. Just wondering if your babies do this too?!

Sweet Pea doesn't but Cadence does!! I can push her big ol' head off me (slobbers, uncomfortable, etc) and flop it goes back down on my leg. If it's not her head, she touches me somehow!! They both follow me everywhere...

Biff is not allowed on the couch, but if he wants cuddles, he'll put both paws and his head....in fact, the whole top half of his body on your lap. It's so funny, as he does keep both back paws on the floor.

I usually end up sliding down onto the floor beside him (Big Softy! )

Yep! Chester does and it drives my husband mad, for some reason he itches controllably aswell whenever Chester touches him with his stinky feet!!!

well, mine doesn't necessarily put a paw on me, but something has to be touching me.

sounds like fletcher is an extremely loveable dog. i love to see if you post or not, i always want to hear stories about fletcher. for some reason he always makes me smile. :D

I get the paw too....

....but I don't necessarily have to be sitting. If I'm standing getting ready in the morning my youngest, Spencer, will put his paw on my leg. But it hurts when he paws my legs....I have bruises all over my legs from him pawing at me. No matter where I am or what I'm doing he's got to have his paw or whole body on me somehow. They are so crazy!!

Oh yes, it's a boxer thing! Most are very clingy and just have to let you know how much they love you by touching you somehow...someway. Xena does the head-on-your-lap with the oh-so-woe-some-me look in the eyes. Her hind legs will go completely limp while she rests her entire upper body on my lap. Sometimes her elbows kill when they dig into some very sensitive areas like... my boobs!! :o Spirit does the same thing, only he paws at us more. His super-model legs swing wildly when he paws so with him it's very common to get a bruise or scratch somewhere on our bodies. My favorite is when they lay their head on my chest and snuggle in like a sleeping content baby. That is the sweetest thing and usually makes me forget all about a scratch or bruise or even the missing cheese off the plate on the coffee table! :D
slavvachops...most of us here itch like crazy too from our boxers, so your DH is not alone. If mine touch me slightly, their dander makes me break out in hives. Their saliva is even worse for making me itch. Since Xena was a pup (she'll be 10 in November) I had to take allergy pills just so I could cuddle and love on her. Now, almost 10yrs later and with Spirit added to the picture, I don't have to take the allergy pills as often. I believe that with time, I have become immune to the allergens, and if/when I do break out it's not as bad as it use to be.

When I'm driving Thor has to have his head or at least a paw on me.....The couch now that is a different story!!!!! If I'm sitting with my feet up look out, 80 lbs of dog on me.....One paw on each shoulder, head on my chest and his body (almost) the full length of mine. It drives my husband nuts!!!!! He always ends up with the love seat.....LOL
